I am Ndivhuho Thanyani Nthangeni born in Makwarela Township situated in Thulamela district far North of Limpopo province. I am married to Welheminah Motene Nthangeni and we are blessed with two talented boys Ronewa (13 years old Music DJ and Ndivhuho (11 years old Chef).
I started my career in 1995 and have 26 years working experience; 19 years in Mining industry and 7 years in non-mining industry.
I have acquired the following qualifications:
Honours degree in Labour Relations and HR in 1999 with UPE
Postgraduate diploma in Law in 2017 with WITS
Certificate in Advanced Sustainability Management Programme with The University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) & The University of Queensland’s Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI).
Certificate in Management of Community Benefits & Partnerships in 2019 with WITS.
What are your hobbies? I love farming (Livestock and vegetables), playing golf and board games.
What’s the one thing I am grateful for? Being able to do what I enjoy the most, changing people’s lives, building relationships, being healthy and gift of life.
What are some of the biggest projects you ever implemented which made you proud? Phola Waste Management Project (Both Sewerage and domestic Waste). The fact that I was hands on with community members made me to know them personally, to relate well and to improve relationship between community and the mine.
What’s your best personal moment? Spending time with my wife, kids as well as my Mom and Dad.
What do you look for when adjudicating a project? I look at impact, collaboration/partnership with key stakeholders to ensure mobilisation of resources, collective drive and shared vision. I do not focus on value.
